Road to gamescom: Five Hamburg Indies at Indie Arena Booth Online 2021

Five indie developers and publishers from Hamburg will receive booth spaces on the multiplayer trade fair platform Indie Arena Booth Online as part of the virtual gamescom 2021 through our "Road to gamescom" program.

They will be located at the digital Gamecity Hamburg booth. After the successful premiere of the digital version of the Indie Arena Booth at gamescom 2020, Gamecity Hamburg will again support Hamburg indie studios and publishers presenting themselves and their games at Europe's largest trade and consumer fair for games for gamescom 2021.

These Hamburg games companies are part of the Gamecity Hamburg delegation:

Tiny Roar

Founded in 2015, the studio now has more than 10 employees. At gamescom, Tiny Roar will present a previously unannounced game, which is currently being developed with the support of public games funding and publsiher Assemble Entertainment.

OneManOnMars

Behind OneManOnMars is the Hamburg-based solo developer Roman Fuhrer. With his project Leif's Adventure: Netherworld Hero, a side-scroller action-adventure, he was part of the Games Lift Incubator batch 2020 and is currently preparing for release.

Mooneye Studios

Mooneye Studios was founded back in 2014 and is best known for their successful project Lost Ember. Since 2021 Mooneye is also active as a publisher under the label Mooneye Indies and features the game Haven Park as their first publishing project, to be released in August.

Radioactive Dreams

At Radioactive Dreams, three game developers are working on the development of the high-speed 2D platformer Turbo Shell. In 2020, Radioactive Dreams received prototype funding from Gamecity Hamburg for the development of Turbo Shell.

Klickaffen

The mobile games studio Klickaffen was founded in 2013 by Matthias Mach and has already released a number of mobile games. They will present their game Unbuild at gamescom 2021.

More Information

In addition to presenting their games to trade visitors and gamers with trailers, descriptions, screenshots and links to their own social media and online channels, the teams will also gain access to the devcom B2B conference via the Indie Arena Booth program, as well as benefit from the arrangement of press and streamer contacts, as well as matchmaking with potential business partners.

For the best possible preparation for the trade fair visit and appearance, all participating companies were invited to a preparatory workshop in advance. Wolf Lang, CEO of Super Crowd Entertainment, an event agency specializing in games and one of the organizers of the Indie Arena Booth, gave valuable tips on trade fair strategies and on how to make the best use of the opportunities offered by the Indie Arena Booth, devcom and gamescom for the participating indie companies.

Developers and publishers from Hamburg were able to apply for free participation slots in the Indie Arena Booth via Gamecity Hamburg's "Road to gamescom 2021" program until May 27.

About the Indie Arena Booth

Since 2013, the Indie Arena Booth has offered indie developers the opportunity to present themselves at gamescom at conditions that are feasible even for small companies. Since gamescom has no on-site events in 2020 and in 2021 due to the Corona pandemic, the organizers of the Indie Arena Booth - the Hamburg-based agency Super Crowd Entertainment - have developed a digital version of the Indie Arena Booth. The Indie Arena Booth Online is a fully playable multiplayer platform that cleverly uses the possibilities of the video game medium to provide visitors with an exciting digital trade fair experience. For the development of the concept and the platform, Super Crowd Entertainment was awarded a special prize of the German Computer Games Award (Deutscher Computerspielepreis) in 2021. Since 2021, the Indie Arena Booth Online is an official partner of gamescom and an integral part of the trade fair program, which in its digital version in 2020 was also able to inspire several million visitors from 180 countries.

You can find more info about the Indie Arena Booth on their website.
