The Nordic Game 2024 is over, and we look back on some exciting days in the beautiful city of Malmö.

From May 21 to 24, we brought four Hamburg-based game studios and developers to Nordic Game. With our "Road to Nordic" program, we enabled the teams to exhibit for free at our Gamecity Hamburg joint booth, as well as giving them access to the conference, program, and matchmaking opportunities.

We partnered up with medianet Games Berlin Brandenburg for a joint "German" Booth, who brought four fantastic indie games from Berlin-Brandenburg to Nordic Game, as well.

The following Hambur-based teams participated:
- About Cannons + Sparrows - About Cannons & Sparrows
- Amberdive Interactive - REPLICORE
Pipapo Games - Map Map - A Game about Maps
- Markus Koepke - Journey Beyond the Edge of the World

You can check out their games in our "Road to Nordic Video":

At the "Publishers & Investors Day," the teams promoted their games in a Speed Pitching program on the Developer Stage. In addition to the Speed Pitching, About Cannons + Sparrows were able to secure a place in the Spring Pitch Battle on the Dev Showcase stage next to two other indie teams. Well done!

Our project manager Margarete Schneider took part in the Games Policy Summit, which focused on the future of the games industry with lots of discussions about innovation, support systems, the games ecosystem, and strategies for the future. We will sure keep a lot of good ideas in mind!

On Thursday, May 23, we hosted a "Germany meets the Nordics Reception" at the Slagthuset Restaurant as part of Games Germany – Regional Funds and Networks, together with game - the association of the German games industry and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action to celebrate and network over some cold drinks and snacks.

We were very happy to meet some wonderful people from WINGS and Game Habitat, who offered additional meetups and networking opportunities next to the Nordic Game Conference program.
