Indie Dev Insights #2: Finding the RIGHT publisher

In the second episode of our Indie Dev Insights video series, Manny Hachey, COO at the Hamburg-based studio THREAKS, shares her experiences with working with a publisher from an indie studio's perspective.

When looking for a publishing partner for their games, many indie developers ask themselves important questions like: How do I find a publisher that really helps to get my game out there and make it a success? And what to look out for when entering a publishing deal as an indie developer?

Manny Hachey, Chief Operating Officer at Hamburg-based indie game studio THREAKS sat down with us for an interview, giving her perspective on working with a publisher as an independent video game studio and provided a lot of practical advice for indie studios that are looking for the right publishing partner. Watch it here!

A big thank you to Manny for taking the time to answer our questions, to THREAKS for letting us film in their offices and to moodmacher+ who produced the video!

This is the second video of Gamecity Hamburg's new series "Indie Dev Insights" where we talk to indie devs and industry experts about topics that concern indies apart from strictly development topics - like marketing, sales, funding, organization of a team - or in this case: publishing. You can find the first episode here, in which we also covered the topic publishing - but from a publisher's perspective, with Jonas Hüsges from Daedalic Entertainment.

Also, we're already preparing the next episodes with more indie dev topics. So stay tuned and subscribe to our YouTube channel to not miss any new episode.
