Gamescom 2018: Daedalic feiert Jubiläum in Köln

Die Hamburger Entwickler und Publisher Daedalic besuchen nicht nur zum zehnten Mal die Gamescom, sondern haben auch die "Edna and Harvey: The Breakout - 10th Anniversary Edition" im Gepäck.

Anfang 2007 wurde Daedalic gegründet, im Juni des darauffolgenden Jahres erschien mit "Edna bricht aus" der erste Titel des noch jungen Hamburger Unternehmens, das sich seither den Ruf erarbeitet hat, das Grafik-Adventure-Erbe der LucasArts- und Sierra-Ära zu bewahren. 2009 debütierte Daedalic auf der Gamescom, die damals selbst ihre Premiere in den Kölner Messehallen feierte.

Zum zehnten Mal findet nun Europas größte Spielemesse statt, und auch Daedalic ist wieder mit von der Partie. 2018 werden die Hamburger erneut beide Bereiche der Messe bespielen. Im Business Center finden interessierte Besucher aus Business und Presse Daedalic in Halle 3.2, Stand A30/B39 - also auf dem Gamecity:Hamburg-Gemeinschaftsstand. Dort ist man für interessante Gespräche offen - die jeweiligen Kontaktpersonen finden sich auf der offiziellen Website.

Im Publikumsbereich gibt's für die vielen Anhänger der skurrilen Protagonisten der Daedalic-Spiele jede Menge Fanartikel am hauseigenen Merchandise-Stand in der Fanshop-Area der Halle 5.2.

Aber auch die wichtigsten aktuellen Titel werden von den Gamescom-Besuchern gespielt werden können. Die Indie Arena (Halle 10.1) bestückt Daedalic mit dem Hamburger Multiplayer-Spektakel "Witch It", dem futuristischen 3D-Thriller "State of Mind" in der Switch-Version sowie dem Publikums-Debüt von "Edna & Harvey: The Breakout - 10th Anniversary Edition" (einem Remake von "Edna bricht aus", das 2019 für PC, PS4, Xbox One und Switch kommt).

Prototype Funding 2022: 398,000 euros for six projects from Hamburg

In the 2022 funding round of the Gamecity Hamburg Prototype Funding program the awarding committee decided to fund six prototypes for digital games by Hamburg-based devs and studios with a total of 398,000 euros. Congratulations to all recipients - we are already excited to see all projects grow and take up speed!

The Best German Game comes from Hamburg: Congratulations to Deep Silver FISHLABS for winning the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (German Video Game Award) in the category "Best German Game" for their dark space-shooter "CHORUS" released in December 2021.
