Games Lift 2021 application phase has started

From June 21, the Games Lift incubator program launches its application phase for 2021, supporting five games developer teams in creating concepts for digital games with high market potential.

After its successful premiere in 2020, the Games Lift Incubator will go into its second season. In addition to the financial support of up to 15,000 euros per team, participants can expect a workshop and mentoring program with international games industry experts as well as slots in a shared co-working space.

In addition, Gamecity Hamburg will provide the teams with individual coaching by professional consultants and a PR agency specializing in indie games for the following year.

Applications are open from June 21 until July 26 via the application website.

The course of the program
After the application phase, the best applicants present their projects to the awarding committee of industry experts. The five teams with the most convincing pitches are accepted into the incubator. For them, the next step is the intensive phase of the Games Lift Incubator from September to the beginning of December 2021.

Requirements
The application is open for all kinds of developer teams: from students, developer associations, start-ups, and small and medium enterprises to founded companies as well as groups of natural persons. All teams must either already be based in Hamburg or prove that they will relocate their residence to Hamburg or open a subsidiary or branch establishment in Hamburg upon entering the Games Lift Incubator program.

Find all the requirements and details on the application website.

Applications can be submitted online until July 26, 2021
