All around the world, June is Pride Month with LGBTQ+ communities coming together to celebrate the freedom to be themselves after decades of exclusion and raising awareness about oppression that unfortunately still exist in many parts of the world.
In the games industry, the importance of diversity is evident in more and more diverse game content and game characters as well as in the developer teams and gamers worldwide.
For us, at Gamecity Hamburg it is important to show solidarity with this important causes and amplify the voices of people who work to make the world and the games industry a better and more welcoming place. In the course of Pride Month, we will give game recommendations for games that deal with LGBTQ+ issues, as well as publish articles with positive examples. You can look forward to a new talk in our digital Gamecity Impulse event series.
