Deep Silver FISHLABS win "Best German Game" Award

"A big thank you to the community, to the players who supported the game, who gave us good reviews and have been hyping the game on steam - this means a lot to us! But today I want to especially thank the people who made all of this possible: Our team! They outgrew themselves, time and time again, didn't give up, grew together over time into a really great team. This is why I'm thankful to receive this prize today for us. Team in Hamburg and elsewhere: You have really earned this prize!", Tobias Severin, Studio Development Director at Deep Silver FISHLABS, said when receiving the trophy on stage of the Deutscher Computerspielpreis award show.

Later Stephan Beier, Studio Operations Director, added: "This is a really great award for us, because we come from a classic mobile games development background, we made a strategic change of direction, switched to console games. And this is our first big title, our first own IP that we worked on ourselves and it's incredible to win the award right away with our first title. And we still have a few things planned!"

Deep Silver FISHLABS was founded in Hamburg in 2004 and now belongs to the Koch Media group. They currently employ 89 people at their studio in Hamburg and develop for console and PC. They released their critically acclaimed game CHORUS on December 3, 2021. You can read a short interview we conducted with them for the release here. The award they now won is endowed with a prize money of 100,000 euros. You can watch the full award show of the Deutscher Computerspielpreis here on YouTube.
