Online application open for "Kreativ-Transfer"

Applications for the "Kreativ-Transfer" (creative transfer) are now open for Indie Game Studios and developers.

Indie Studios and independent developers can now apply for the "Kreativ-Transfer" (creative transfer), a financial support for important creative and games industry events, that will be taking place during the period from January 1 to June 30, 2020.

Applications are open from July 1 to August 6, 2019 (online only, in German only).

This is funded by the German State Minister for Culture and Media and supported by the game union of the German games industry.

Following expenses can be supported to the extent of 70 percent (1000,- or 2000,- Euro max.):

  • travel costs
  • accommodations
  • accreditation
  • exhibition booths
  • daily allowance

The developers and Indie Studios have to meet following requirements:

  • Headquarters are based in Germany
  • no more than 20 permanent employees
  • they are independent
  • they are not yet able to support their attendance at important networking events or exhibitions.

This is a good opportunity for Indie Studios and developers to get into contact with potential investors or publishers, to present themselves and to gain a bigger coverage and reach.

A Jury will check the applications and will declare the participants five weeks after the closing date.

The first funding period has already started, with 14 participants out of Germany. Three Hamburg developers are able to participate:

  2. Bagpack Games
  3. Rose-Engine
