Gamecity Sommertreff welcomes the Hamburg summer with 200 guests

200 guests of the Hamburg games industry and others celebrated the Gamecity Sommertreff 2019 at the location Ehemaliges Hauptzollamt Hafen Hamburg in the Speicherstadt.

200 guests of the Hamburg games industry and others celebrated the Gamecity Sommertreff 2019 at the location Ehemaliges Hauptzollamt Hafen Hamburg in the Speicherstadt.

Karsten Schwaiger of the Ministry of Culture and Media opened the event with a welcoming speech, in which he stressed the innovative capacity of the games industry. New gamecity:Hamburg project manager Dennis Schoubye talked to Hendrik Peeters, CEO of Tivola Publishing and game Hamburg and Peter Meyenburg, Head of PR InnoGames, about the current state of the industry and other topics that concern the Hamburg companies. InnoGames sponsored the Sommertreff.

The new gamecity:Hamburg team presented itself to a full house and set the course for the coming months. Until 22 July, 2019 Hamburg companies can still participate in the gamecity:Hamburg shared exhibition booth at gamescom 2019. Especially Indie Studios can profit from special conditions. gamecity:Hamburg cooperates with the Indie Arena Booth for the gamescom and accepts the exhibition booth costs for the Indie developers Bagpack Games, winner of the BlueByte Newcomer Awards at the German Developers Award 2018 for their game “Out of Place”, and Team Toxic with “Wild Woods”.

Further gamecity:Hamburg networking meetups and events will be announced within the next months.
