Apply now for Games Lift 2022

From May 9 to June 14, you can apply for our Games Lift Incubator 2022! Take the chance to bring your game ideas and concepts for digital games to the next level!

From now on, from May 9 to June 14, you can apply for our Games Lift Incubator 2022! It's your chance to intensively work on your game ideas, polish your concepts for digital games, develop them further, get valuable insights and tips and effectively expand your knowledge and skills for your projects.

What can you expect?

  • A three months intensive program with:
    • Financial support of 15,000 euros
    • Talks, workshops, and mentoring tailored to your needs
    • Places in a co-working space 
  • 12 months of follow-up support with individual coaching and time budget of a PR agency

Who is eligible to apply?

  • All developer teams: students, individuals, start-ups, and developer associations.
  • Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Already established companies and groups of natural persons
  • Applicants must be already based in Hamburg or relocate/open a branch here

The selection process is carried out through an online application and online pitches with an awarding committee. Before your application, we recommend a consultation with us. School Internship Games January 2025: Pupils discover games industry in Hamburg companies

During a three-week internship, 15 9th grade students from Hamburg gained insights into the various job profiles and companies in the games industry. We visited them for their final presentation and found out what they learned.

At the German Developer Award on December 3, 2024, "Closer the Distance" by Osmotic Studios won in the 3 categories Best Audio Design, Best Story and Innovation. The Ubisoft Newcomer Award went to "Map Map - A Game about Maps" by Pipapo Games, which is also represented in the Games Lift Incubator 2023 and the Prototype Funding 2024 of Gamecity Hamburg.
