Into the Emberlands is a Wholesome-Strategy-Game with a narrative touch, set in a colorful multidimensional setting. Place tiles to create a world piece by piece and send explorers on quests for loot and new pieces - while building up your highscore on the search for the ultimate adventure. Formerly first known as HEXAGONE and then Wanderful, the game got a new title in May 2024 and is set to release in Early Access in the Summer of 2024.
WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
So this is The End.
Kind of disappointing, to be honest. Countless worlds and promising legends of heroic explorers laid to rest, forgotten and scattered throughout time and space. Of all plots resolved, of all morals learned, the conclusion seems rather disenchanting - what is there left to tell? But what if I tell you, it all still exists. Faded, but not lost for good. Fragments of dark fairy tales, convoluted sci-fi plotlines and romantic road trips without a final destination. …it could still work out.
YOU can make it work, right?
At a small encampment of aspiring explorers, you start with the basic beats of world building - lush forests, murmuring brooks, a castle in the distance - creating the map piece by piece. Soon you can send your explorers on expeditions. As they loop into the unknown and back to safety, their travels will yield resources you can use to unlock new tiles and expand your world.
Strategically aligned story pieces can be combined for unique effects, like cursed forests or alien invasions! Travel planning will matter, as the bridge troll will greet your travelers with open arms or his baseball bat, depending on your ability to catch a fish earlier while passing a river. Loop by loop, you will create a sprawling, interlocked world full of wonder and treasure. How far can you push your adventure, how high can your score get?

Tiny Roar was founded in 2015 by two lifelong best friends, after gathering experience in different game studios. The goal: Establish a studio where passionate and
compassionate people get together to enjoy the best job in the world - making games.
What started out with 3 people bootstrapping has formed to a studio of over 15 employees. With a little more than 10 games released in the last 7 years, we always try
something new while learning from our screw-ups as good as possible.
At Tiny Roar we celebrate everyone’s opinion and encourage everyone to shape the future of our company. That’s how Hexagone (working title, now Wanderful) was born: Pitched by Jonas, one of our artists, we will embark on a completely new adventure with a small team to create something that hopefully will make you go: ROAR!
