Senator's Roundtable 2026 at City Hall

Young talent on stage: Students present the results of their Games 2025 school internship

Am 18. Juli zeigten 16 Hamburger Schüler*innen auf der Bühne der „Town Hall“ bei InnoGames, was sie in drei intensiven Wochen Schulpraktikum Games erarbeitet haben. In unterschiedlichen Workshops entwickelten die Teilnehmenden eigene Spielideen und nutzten dabei erstmals auch KI-Tools zur Unterstützung.

School Internship Games January 2025: Pupils discover games industry in Hamburg companies

During a three-week internship, 15 9th grade students from Hamburg gained insights into the various job profiles and companies in the games industry. We visited them for their final presentation and found out what they learned.

12 years of Playa Games

Congratulations to Playa Games on their 12th birthday! Founded in June 2009 in Hamburg, the studio landed a real hit right away with its first title, Shakes & Fidget.

Playa Games: New CEO and changes in management

Big changes at Playa Games: The previous COO, Thorsten Rohmann, is taking over the position of CEO with immediate effect. He has been part of the company for 9 years now. The founders Jan Beuck (CEO) and Martin Jässing (CTO), as well as  Hannes Beuck (Co-CEO), are leaving the company. Thorsten Rohmann kindly answered some questions about the future of Playa Games.
