Explore the depths of the ocean in this 2D-Puzzle-Metroidvania! Control the water levels and switch between various robots to solve the ancient puzzles of Atlantis.
Atlantis is a place full of wondrous mysteries and puzzles. Extract your soul and dive into various robots to explore their different abilities. Change the water levels to alter the environment and enemies to your advantage. Solve puzzles to uncover what hides in the ancient ruins. Surprisingly sympathetic robots cross your way, doomed to work for eternity unless someone could help them for a change.
This puzzle focussed Metroidvania uses water as a core element. All our mechanics are constructed around it using opposing concepts. With every robot, enemy and puzzle element we ask ourselves how it behaves under water vs how it behaves on land. We try to aim for behaviours that are as opposing as possible. These mechanical contradictions create interesting conditions for puzzles.
For example you need one robot’s underwater ability to solve a puzzle but you can not switch robots underwater.
The players learn to fluidly switch between different kinds of gameplay,
either in water or on land, in a robot or as a floating soul. They not only adapt to changing situations but actively do so, changing the water levels in rooms and switching robots to their advantage.
