Gamecity Forecast: The Future of Generative AI in Games
AI tools have already reshaped working in the games industry during the past year. They speed up processes like localization, communication with international teams and sometimes even broaden our creative horizons. While we most likely have felt the impact of AI in our work on games already, it feels like there's even more to come, which is exactly what we want to discuss with you.
Let’s get together in our work session format "Gamecity Forecast" and take a closer look at where the games industry is heading: how has and will AI shape the games industry? What tools are you already using on a regular basis and what are you hoping to be able to do in the future? What is going to happen with AI in games during the next couple of years? Let's exchange experiences and ideas in the new SPACE event location (Am Sandtorkai 27, 20457 Hamburg).
Join us on November 28, 6:00 pm (CET) for our work session at the SPACE!
We will kick off the session with a live-streamed impulse talk by Luka Crnkovic-Friis, Head of AI/ML at King, who has been working in the field of AI for almost 20 years. He will help us dive deeper into the topic by giving us an outlook on the future of AI in games. Afterward, we will exchange experiences with the current usage of AI in game companies and discuss future outlooks in working groups.
How to participate:
This session is open to participants from different industries and different company sizes so that every participant can profit from a wide range of perspectives.
This event is aimed at decision-makers, directors, C-levels, and managers from companies of any size. To create a productive workshop experience for every participant, reservations will only be final after confirmation by us.
About our guest speaker:
Luka Crnkovic-Friis is Head of AI and Machine Learning at King, one of the biggest mobile games companies worldwide. He was early on convinced that AI is the next step in the industrial revolution and co-founded his company specializing in Deep Learning, Peltarion, in 2004. Peltarion was acquired by King in 2022 and ever since Luka has put his experience and insights into use in the games world.
About Gamecity Forecast:
In our work session series “Gamecity Forecast” we aim to take a look beyond the day-to-day business - and put our heads together on topics that will gain importance for the games sector in the (near) future. To share insights and develop new perspectives, we bring together experts from various fields with key people from the Hamburg games industry and other sectors. In a compact two-hour session an expert guest speaker kicks off the discussion with a short keynote. Participants share thoughts, exchange perspectives, and develop ideas together in mixed workshop groups. After the main events, there’ll be opportunities to continue discussions on your ideas and build networks to follow up on them.
