Games Lift 2026
Witch Artisan is a 2D Life-Simulation, in which players design, craft and sell their own magic pottery wares, while creating a small local community of like-minded artisans in their abandoned industrial settlement. Let your creativity run free, revive the industrial town with your art, meet new people and find out what caused the abandonment of the settlement!

About the Game
There you are: An experienced potter who can’t afford rent in the big city. On the lookout for a place to call your home, you come upon a strange ad in the newspaper: A cheap living community with an elderly woman in an abandoned mining complex. Will this be a suitable place to run your pottery shop? Out of curiosity and a lack of better options, you set out to give it a visit. Little do you know the adventure the universe has in store for you that day.
Build A Community: Meet the last citizen of the area and your new mentor: a mysterious woman referred to as ‘Granny’. Under her tutelage, run your shop, gain admirers for your authentic art, make friends with other artisans, and slowly breathe life back into the old complex.
Creativity meets Mastery: Make every step of the pottery process your own! Choose a mix of raw ingredients, such as different clay types, metal shavings and mineral powder; some of which imbue the clay with magical properties that require wit and special technique to whip into shape. Concoct custom recipes for glazes and experiment how fire affects them. Discover the ancient language of the land's patrons to infuse your wares with useful magic.
At your own pace: You decide how to run your business. Witch Artisan has econ-sim mechanics, but offers alternative means of progression. You don’t need to economically optimize your shop for profit, but the option is there.

About Shellsprout
The story of Shellsprout began in the HAW Hamburg's Games Master program, when Selina Stückler (Project Management & Art Direction) and Sören Gode (Game Development & Mechanical Design) met during their studies. Driven by a deep appreciation for the medium of games and the ambition to harmoniously blend all facets of game design, the team aims for innovative concepts combined with wholesome aesthetics.
With the support of the incubator, the duo is working on their first major milestone: the release of their commercial debut "Witch Artisan," aiming to lay the foundation for a permanent indie game studio in the heart of Hamburg. On their journey, they are accompanied by their friend and passionate freelance composer, Simon Müller.
