Use tools to inspect cards to find anomalies in this horror simulation game.
In Ungradable: Twisted Card Grading you’re forced into a job at a shady card grading company. Sit at your desk and inspect various cards for authenticity and quality. But some cards aren’t like the others. Soon, you’ll be searching for sinister and dangerous anomalies — and hoping to make it to the end of your shift.

Inspect, Grade, Contain
Society in Ungradable depends on collectible trading cards – they serve as currency, weapons and curses. As a card grader, you’re constantly confronted with the ominous threats that dwell within the cards. In this dark atmospheric setting, you must look very closely – even when you’d rather not.
A card lies on your desk. Your main task is to examine cards using various tools. A centering tool allows you to check the alignment of the print. Scratches on the foil become visible under an adjustable lamp. Maybe you suspect a forgery and prefer to take a closer look with a magnifying glass. But some cards require a more specialized approach before they reveal their true form.
You notice an anomaly. Maybe it’s just a missing detail. A scratched-in threat reveals itself. Faces begin to melt. Or did the card just whisper something?
Don’t lose your nerve. Document your findings with a grading form, contain the card in a hardened sleeve and seal away the threat. Was everything done correctly? Then the card can be safely sent and you earn your payout. But if you make a mistake, the seal breaks and you pay the price with your sanity – or even your life.

The Team
The Hamburg-based Chasmic Drop Studio was founded with the vision of creating small, sustainable and meaningful horror experiences, with Ungradable as their debut game.
The core team consists of two long-time friends. Through Ungradable, Leif Gutowski (Game Direction, Programming) combines his nostalgia for trading cards with his enthusiasm for the weird and unsettling. Nadine Oestreich (Art Direction, Project Management) uses her refined art style driven by a passion for horror to bring their creative vision to life. With their complementary skill set, they pursue their goal of making a living creating unique experiences for people who share their love for horror.
Gaps in their expertise are closed by the motivated collaborators Alexander Nham (Sound Design / Music) and Christoph Volkmer (Business Advisory).
The team strongly values collaboration and fosters their strong local network at regular game industry events. With the co-working space at Indieschmiede as their home base, they are eager to strengthen Hamburg’s games industry – boosting its presence on the map.
