Gamecity Hamburg Expands Team in Project Management
June 11, 2026
Hamburg, June 11, 2026: Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft, through its Gamecity Hamburg initiative, is adding to the team with Svenja Borchert as project manager and Judith Große-Schulte as project assistant. Gamecity Hamburg supports the games industry through its funding programs—the Games Lift Incubator and the Prototype Funding program—as well as a comprehensive range of events and networking opportunities.
Project Manager Svenja Borchert joins the Gamecity Hamburg team after working for the game companies Daedalic Entertainment, CrazyBunch, and Positive Impact Games. In addition to her degrees in German and English Languages and Literature, and Media Systems, she has professional experience in project management and production, as well as in game and narrative design. At Gamecity Hamburg, Svenja Borchert is responsible for various events and is involved in organizing the Portside Game Assembly conference.
“The games industry thrives on new ideas and visionary projects. I am closely connected to the industry in Hamburg, which is why I am all the more excited to now play an active role at Gamecity Hamburg in launching new projects to further strengthen the location,” says Svenja Borchert, commenting on her decision to join Gamecity Hamburg.
Judith Große-Schulte has been working with Gamecity Hamburg since the end of 2024, providing support in project management and communications. As a working student in the Digital Media & Business Administration program at Leuphana University of Lüneburg and the Hamburg Media School, she oversees various projects and events at Gamecity Hamburg.
“I am incredibly grateful for the many experiences and new things I’ve been able to experience and learn at Gamecity so far. The Hamburg games industry is diverse and inspiring, and it has already had a lasting impact on me. I hope to be a part of it for a long time to come and am already looking forward to everything that lies ahead,” explains Judith Große-Schulte.
The next opportunity to meet the Gamecity Hamburg team will be at the Portside Game Assembly on June 25 and 26 in Hamburg. In addition to a conference focused on studio directors and founders of established indie studios, the last few tickets are available for the networking brunch and the Games Industry Party on June 26 aboard the MS Stubnitz.
