Fifth “Games Made in Germany” Steam Sale kicks of on July 20

Hamburg, July 20, 2026, The fifth “Games Made in Germany” Steam sale, themed “Games Composed in Germany,” will begin on July 20, 2026, at 7:00 pm (CEST). Organized by Games Germany, the sale raises the visibility of more than 400 games developed in Germany. The sale will be accompanied by a showcase and broadcast event on Steam, the world’s largest distribution platform for video games.

This year’s lineup includes games and studios that have won awards at the German Computer Game Award (Deutscher Computerspielpreis) and the German Developer Award (Deutscher Entwicklerpreis), such as “The Darkest Files,” “Anno 117: Pax Romana,” and “EVERSPACE 2”.
By participating in the Steam sale, developers can reach an international audience and increase their visibility. According to platform operator Valve, Steam has over 132 million active users per month.
Showcase
In addition to the sale, there will be a special digital showcase featuring world premieres, exclusive announcements, and unreleased trailers, all streamed on the Steam event page. Highlights include updates on “The Legend of Khiimori” by Aesir Interactive, “The Darkest Files” by Paintbucket Games, “Lost Legions” by Tarock Interactive, “Tinker Islands” by Goon Squad, “Wanderburg” by Randwerk, and many other games and studios from Germany.

The Steam Sale is organized by Games Germany, the association of German game funding agencies and networking institutions. Games Germany’s goal is to showcase the wide variety of German games worldwide and to support German studios in distributing their games.
