Applications open for “Games Forged in Germany” 2025

Hamburg, 12 May 2025, Games Germany - the association of German games funding and network institutions - is once again organizing a Steam Sale with “Games Forged in Germany” this year. From now until June 9, 2025, German developers, studios and publishers can apply to participate. Games Germany's aim with the Steam Sale is to showcase the great diversity of German games on an international stage and contribute to an increase in sales. This year's Steam Sale will once again be accompanied by a showcase event. Since 2022, more than 300 games have taken part in each of the three previous Steam Sales.
Games Germany is looking for German developers, studios and publishers who would like to submit their games for the Steam Sale. Any company headquartered in Germany can participate.
The submission deadline is June 9, 2025 at 11:59 pm.

Award-winning games and showcase event
Following numerous award-winning games with awards from the German Computer Game Award and German Developer Award, a large number of high-quality “Games Forged in Germany” are once again expected in 2025. A showcase will accompany the Steam Sale with exclusive premieres, announcements, updates and new gameplay trailers of games developed in Germany.
Gamecity Hamburg is part of Games Germany as a location initiative for the games industry in the Hanseatic city.

Games Germany - Regional Funds and Networks offers all players in the games industry information on funding and financing as well as development and production conditions and publishing in Germany. In addition, Games Germany - Regional Funds and Networks supports the German games industry in its presence at major national and international trade fairs.
