Zintank Labs release Cosmic Run

Our Prototype Funding recipient Zinktank Labs finally release their game "Cosmic Run". Battle your way through space in this fast-paced, colorful action game - with aliens!

Cosmic Run is a humorous single-player roguelite set in space. Players have to face hordes of galactic enemies, strategically upgrade their ship to overcome obstacles, boost their stats to last longer, and help the Zogark family escape the galaxy.

The story: In a galaxy ruled by the oppressive United Order and controlled by the Ministry of Prosperity, the Zogark family dares to stand up against the system. Now they are on the run, and must use their unique abilities and ship upgrades to escape the relentless Galactic Fleet.

The players can expect a fast-paced game: 145 weapons and upgrades, dynamic ship customization and unique playable characters offer a short and intense gameplay session.

Fast-paced action and humor awaits the players.

With procedurally generated updates and an integrated dialogue system, Cosmic Run delivers variety on many layers. It even offers a narrative story told throughout the game, based on the character the players choose.

Zinktank Labs is an indie studio based in Hamburg, founded by three friends who share a passion for absurd, character-driven games. Together, they bring over 30 years of experience in game design, systems development, animation, and visual design. Cosmic Run is their first joint project as a studio and got Prototype Funding in 2025.

Games Lift 2026: Apply now from April 27 until June 1

You can now apply for Gamecity Hamburg's 2026 Games Lift from April 27 to June 1. Five teams will receive financial support in form of 15,000 euros, a comprehensive workshop program and individual mentoring. In addition, the teams can benefit from 1,000 euros in coaching budget. After a three-month workshop phase, the teams will be further supported with individual mentoring and will travel together to an international industry event until August 2027.
