Success for Portside Game Assembly 2026 - will return 2027

On June 25 and 26, we once again celebrated Portside Game Assembly 2026, a conference for international exchange among indie game studios, with around 100 indie game professionals from 13 countries, including a cruise on the conference ship through the Hamburg Harbour.

Wow, we're still thrilled about the fantastic 1.5 days at Portside Game Assembly, which featured exchanges between the international games industry, Hamburg-based studios, and the many participants who attended our events!

100 professionals from established indie game studios across 13 countries gathered in Hamburg for the second edition of Portside Game Assembly. Aboard the conference ship, participants exchanged insights on game development, marketing, sustainable growth, and partnerships. What sets the Portside Game Assembly apart is its curated list of participants, which allows studio heads to exchange experiences and make new connections on an equal footing.

The 2026 edition featured impulse talks and discussions with speakers including Rebecca Lautner (Landfall), Tomas Sala, Adrienne Bazir (insertdisc5), Richard Atlas (Clever Endeavor Games), Mark Cooke (Shiny Shoe) and Albert Millán (Digital Sun). Participating studios included Amanita Design, Bippinbits, BTFL Glitch, Bolt Blaster Games, Clever Endeavor Games, Crinkle Cut Games, Digital Sun, Eremite Games, Foulball Hangover, Fair Games, Funday Games, Happy Volcano, Landfall, Mooneye Studios, Moi Rai Games, Nosebleed Interactive, Overhype Studios, Shiny Shoe, Square Glade Games, Clever Plays, Spellgarden Games, The Game Kitchen, Tiny Roar, Toukana Interactive, tobspr, Wrong Organ, and many more.

Beyond the conference itself, Portside Game Assembly brought together around 200 additional guests through networking events and the Games Industry Party aboard the historic MS Stubnitz.

After the positive feedback, save the date for the next Portside Game Assembly 2027! Let's meet in Hamburg on June 24 and 25, 2027!

Many thanks to our sponsors and partners Overhype Studios, photon and Twin Harbour Interactive.
