Shapes and Dreams release Beacon Patrol as Digital Game

Hamburg-based developers Shapes and Dreams and BrutalHack release the game "Beacon Patrol" with publisher Assemble Entertainment.

On September 17, Beacon Patrol was released for PC. Developed by Hamburg-based studios Shapes and Dreams and BrutalHack, and published by Assemble Entertainment, the game adapts the mechanics of a physical board game by Shapes and Dreams into a digital format.

Explore and secure the North Sea in Beacon Patrol.

Players take on the role of coast guard captains tasked with exploring and securing the North Sea coastline. The gameplay revolves around drawing and placing tiles to expand the map, navigating ships to secure beacons, buoys, and waterways, and optimizing tile placement to maximize coverage and scoring points. Each turn presents new tactical decisions, encouraging players to plan ahead while adapting to the evolving map.

While the rules are straightforward, the game quickly evolves into a strategic challenge requiring coordination and foresight. The digital version expands on the original board game with unlockable ships featuring special abilities, multiple game modes, and more.
