Prototype Funding: Second Funding Round 2026 in September 2026

Save the Date for the next Prototype Funding Round in 2026: Applications will open from September 4 to 24.

We finally can announce the dates for the second funding round for our Prototype Funding in 2026! Founders, startups, and small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for the funding from September 4 to 24. Prototypes with compelling market potential are eligible for up to 80,000 euros in funding with a total funding sum of up to 180,000 euros. The funding is non-repayable.

The awarding committee for the second funding round consists of Valentina Birke (Director of Indie Arena Booth), Nina Müller (VP of Publishing & Development Services at Goodgame Studios), Dennis Schoubye (Head of Gamecity Hamburg), and new members Nora Klutzny (Producer at Off the Beaten Track) and Paul Taaks (Co-Founder and Creative Director at Overhype Studios).

The conference program, which is targeted at established indie studios, focuses on fostering exchange among studio heads and founders through short talks and roundtables.
