Young talent on stage: Students present the results of their Games 2025 school internship

Am 18. Juli zeigten 16 Hamburger Schüler*innen auf der Bühne der „Town Hall“ bei InnoGames, was sie in drei intensiven Wochen Schulpraktikum Games erarbeitet haben. In unterschiedlichen Workshops entwickelten die Teilnehmenden eigene Spielideen und nutzten dabei erstmals auch KI-Tools zur Unterstützung.

Ob Sounddesign mit selbst aufgenommenen Geräuschen bei Fishlabs, Cybersecurity-Einblicke bei InnoGames oder das Erstellen von Concept Art an der HAW Hamburg – das Angebot war vielfältig und praxisnah. Das praxisorientierte Praktikum bietet Jugendlichen ab der 9. Klasse Einblicke in Berufe der Gamesbranche, und das direkt in den Studios und Institutionen der Hamburger Gameswirtschaft. Eine Kooperation von InnoGames, Fishlabs, Playa Games und dem Games-Master- und Illustations-Studiengang der Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften (HAW Hamburg) sowie der Initiative Creative Gaming und Gamecity Hamburg

Berufsorientierung trifft Kreativität

Im Workshop bei Playa Games drehte sich alles um Narrative Design. Die Schüler*innen entwarfen in Gruppen eigene Welten, Geschichten und Spielfiguren. Ein Highlight war dabei der Charakter „Bärnhard“, ein zwei Meter großer Schmied in Bärenform, der bei der Abschlusspräsentation besonders gut ankam. Das Finale war der fünfstündige Game Jam zum Thema „Andere Welten“ bei dem die Teilnehmenden ihre neu gewonnenen Fähigkeiten praktisch anwenden konnten. Mit Tools wie Scratch und Pocket Platformer entstanden kreative Prototypen. Ganz nebenbei lernten die Schüler*innen dabei auch, wie wichtig Teamarbeit in der professionellen Spieleentwicklung ist.

Bewerbung für 2026 jetzt möglich

Das nächste Schulpraktikum Games findet vom 12. bis 29. Januar 2026 (Bewerbungsschluss: 7. November 2025) sowie vom 15. Juni bis 3. Juli 2026 (Bewerbungsschluss: 5. Dezember 2025) statt. Teilnehmen können Schüler*innen von Stadtteilschulen und Gymnasien, die 2026 die 9. Klasse besuchen. Anerkannt wird das Praktikum als reguläres Betriebspraktikum im Rahmen des Lehrplans.

Interessierte können sich ab sofort per E-Mail an hamburg@schulpraktikum-games.de bewerben. Neben Anschreiben und Lebenslauf sind Antworten auf drei inhaltliche Fragen einzureichen. Weitere Informationen gibt es unter www.schulpraktikum-games.de.

Ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt für die Games-Zukunft

Seit 2021 wird das Schulpraktikum Games von Hamburger Games-Unternehmen, Pädagog*innen und Hochschulen gemeinschaftlich organisiert. Ziel ist es, Jugendlichen frühzeitig praxisnahe Einblicke in die Berufswelt der Gamesbranche zu ermöglichen – und damit den Nachwuchs für Hamburg als Games-Standort zu fördern.
