Moi rai games release their new game Aethermancer in Early Access

Hamburg developer moi rai games released the long-awaited „Aethermancer“, a Monster Taming meets Roguelite game, published by offbrand games for Steam

Hamburg developer moi rai games finally released the long-awaited „Aethermancer“, a Monster Taming meets Roguelite game, published by offbrand games for Steam on September 23, 2025. A release for Nintendo Switch is planned.

After the success of their first game „Monster Sanctuary“, moi rai games‘ new game provides a fresh perspective on monster taming and turn-based battles.

What is Aethermancer about?

Players take on the role of an „Aethermancer“, to fight their way through the procedurally generated Fractured Ruins in the world Terastae alongside mythical monsters, who defied the virtues of this world and are trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth.

Turn-based combats with your own monster teams are part of the game.

In the game, the players build powerful teams of monsters for challenging turn-based battles, using four elements of the „Aether“ to win and find out more about the world, the monsters and the fractured ruins.

A special feature is establishment of a „soulbound“ between monster and player and with a rebirth option, the monster will change, adapt and even become stronger.
